Hello all,

Reminder, Jack and Back is this weekend, Saturday, October 1st and Sunday October second.  The final ops plan is coming soon, working to provide updates tomorrow night or by Wednesday. Having spoken and emailed with you all individually, you are either already very specifically aware of or generally aware of you planned assignments.  During both days, the locations will be activated between 6AM-8AM depending on your course location.  If you have any significant changes to your availability, or any questions in the mean time, please let me know.

Scouting JOTA event on October 15

We are looking for someone to coordinate the Scouting JOTA event on October 15 at the clubhouse.  This will involve setting up a radio (the club HF rig is available) and assisting scouts in making contacts with other scouting units participating in this event across the country.  The coordinator can certainly enlist others to help with this event.  This is an excellent opportunity to have a positive effect on a young persons life.

Please contact Ed, N1NUT at 615-480-6402.

All-Final call for Bike to Jack and Back ham volunteers.  Don’t miss out of the opportunity to help out at this premiere two day public service event, just over a week away Saturday October 1st and Sunday October 2nd.  We already have a good crew of volunteers confirmed but could always put a few more folks to work.  Even if you only have partial availability or would like to pair up with another volunteer at a rest stop, this is great experience to get out your equipment and practice communications in the field.  Free event T-shirt and Saturday night BBQ dinner await all volunteers.  If you are still looking to hop on board, please confirm your further details via the registration link below by the evening of Monday, Saturday26th.
Thanks, Jeff KC8NNO

Amateur Radio Parity Act Action Required

Delta Division Members,

I am again writing to you today because we are at a crossroad in our
efforts to obtain passage of The Amateur Radio Parity Act, and if you
have not done so please take time out and send a message to your
Senators.  If you have already contacted your Senators via the method
listed below, I thank you and no further action is required; if not,
please read on.

As you know our legislative efforts scored a major victory in our
campaign when The Amateur Radio Parity Act, H.R. 1301, unanimously
passed in the House of Representatives one week ago today.  The
legislation has now moved to the Senate, where we need every Senator to
approve the bill and we only have until Thursday to do so.  Hence it is
imperative that you contact your Senators now.

You are one of over 730,000 licensed Amateur Radio Operators living in
the United States.  Many of you already live in deed-restricted
communities, and that number grows daily. Many if not most new
subdivisions have putting restrictions on their deeds and bills of
assurance to ban any sort of antenna in the development.

•       If you want to have effective outdoor antennas but are not
currently allowed to do so by your Home Owner’s Association, SEND

•       If you already have outdoor antennas, but want to support your

•       If you want to preserve your ability to install effective outdoor
antennas on property that you own, SEND THESE EMAILS TODAY!!

We need you to reach out to your Senators NOW!  Immediately!   The
Senate goes into recess until after the election upon the end of the
day Thursday and we need to move this legislation now and get it to the
President before the lame duck session after the election.  Please act!

Help us in the effort.  Please go to this linked website and follow the
