REQUEST THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION FROM EACH COUNTY:
- COUNTY, CALL SIGN, OPERATOR FIRST NAME
- AGENCY SERVING (E.G. EMA, HOSPITAL, OTHER).
- ARE YOU NOW IN CONTACT WITH YOUR SERVED AGENCY? BY WHAT MEANS?
- YOUR LOCAL POWER STATUS (EMERGENCY POWER, NORMAL POWER, ETC)?
- HOW WERE YOU NOTIFIED OF THE EXERCISE? WHEN DID YOU FIRST RECEIVE NOTIFICATION?
- ANY ADDITIONAL RELEVANT INFORMATION.
THE PURPOSE OF THE EXERCISE IS TO ESTABLISH COMMUNICATIONS LINKS FROM TEMA-AUXCOMM HQ AT THE TN FIRE SERVICE & CODES ACADEMY IN BELL BUCKLE, TN AND ALL 95 COUNTIES.
OPERATIONAL PERIODS WILL BE FROM FRIDAY, MAY 6 AT 0930 CDT TO 1630 CDT AND SATURDAY, MAY 7 AT 0930 CDT TO 1630 CDT. ALL STATIONS AND ALL MODES WILL BE MONITORED DURING THESE PERIODS.

Jeff Pryor KC8NNO will present “A Comparison of Amateur Radio Digital Voice Systems”. The focus will be on Digital Voice modes in use in VHF/UHF ham radio communications (P25, D-STAR, DMR, NXDN, System Fusion). Discussion topics will include a Digital Voice overview and technical comparison of the different modes, as well as a summary of operational features, programmability and radio choices. Digital Voice networks will also be covered, and how the various modes are working together and continue to evolve, as well as a summary of Digital Voice repeaters active in Middle Tennessee. The presentation will also include equipment demonstrations as well as conclude with a question and answer session.
